Senate Bill No. 643, Printer’s No. 617 (Waugh)– An Act amending the act of December 17, 1981 (P.L.435, No.135), known as the Race Horse Industry Reform Act, further providing for the composition of the State Horse Racing Commission.
Bill Summary
A00359 – Ward – This amendment would amend section 201 (b) (relating to the establishment of the commissions – State Harness Racing Commission) of the Race Horse Industry Reform Act, by further providing for the composition of the State Harness Racing Commission in that not more than two of the three commissioners shall at the time of appointment reside in the same county. This amendment to the composition of the State Harness Racing Commission parallels the amendment to the composition of the State Horse Racing Commission proposed in the current print number.
Senate Bill No. 1013, Printer’s No. 1202 (Scarnati & Ward)– An Act amending Title 4 (Amusements) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes in section 1407 (d.1) by further providing Pennsylvania Gaming Economic Development and Tourism Fund [4 Pa. C.S. § 1407 (d.1)] with regard to a county of the second class (Allegheny Co.).

House Bill 927, Printer’s No. 1066 (Sanky)– An Act amending the act of May 16, 2002 (P.L.315, No.46), known as the Community Services Block Grant Act by retroactively extending the expiration date of the act to December 31, 2017 [from December 31, 2011]; and making editorial changes (concerning various modification to citations to the federal Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1981). The minimum funding formula is also modified.

House Bill 1098, Printer’s No. 1793 (Payne) – An Act amends the act of December 19, 1988 (P.L.1262, No.156), known as the Local Option Small Games of Chance Act, further providing for definitions, for major league sports drawing and for licensing of eligible organizations to conduct games of chance. Specifically, this legislation adds the National Football League (NFL) organization to the existing list of organizations (MLB, MLS, NBA or NHL) that can be involved in the conduct of 50/50 drawings and extends such to minor league teams affiliated with MLB, MLS, NBA, NFL or NHL
