MEDIA ADVISORY: Senate Community, Economic & Recreational Development Committee To Host Hearings On Economic Impact of State’s Technology and Energy Infrastructure

WHO: Senator John Yudichak (I-14), chair of the Senate Community, Economic & Recreational Development Committee, has announced that the panel is hosting two days of hearings April 13 and 14th  in southeast Pennsylvania on the economic impact of the state’s technology and energy infrastructure.

WHAT: The Senate Community, Economic & Recreational Development Committee is holding a multi-day hearing on “Pennsylvania’s Economy – The Reliability of our Technology & Energy Infrastructure.” Panelists affiliated with the data center and petrochemical industries are slated to participate.

The committee will convene from 1-3 p.m. on April 13th at 1500 Spring Garden Street in Philadelphia, home of the vXchnge Data Center, to take testimony on “Pennsylvania’s Economy – The Reliability of our Technology Infrastructure.”

Scheduled panelists include:

  • Steve Weaver, vXchnge, Senior Vice President of Sales.
  • Mike Grigalonis, President of the PA Economic Development Association.
  • William Lowry, Managing Director, Exelon Utilities Strategy.
  • Steve DelBianco and the Honorable Barbara Comstock, NetChoice.
  • Bob Cresswell, Hartzel & Buehler, Inc.

The following day, April 14th, lawmakers will tour Philadelphia Steamfitters Local Union 420 at 10 a.m.

Subsequently, the panel will meet from 1-3 p.m. at Veritas Medical Solutions in Harleysville, to take testimony on “Pennsylvania’s Economy – The Reliability of our Energy Infrastructure.” The business is located in the 24th Senate District.

  • Joseph McGinn, Energy Transfer, Vice President of Public Affairs.
  • Chris Ruggiero, Vice President & General Counsel, Monroe Energy.
  • Jim Snell, Business Manager, Steamfitters Local Union 420.
  • Jim Gaffney, Goshen Mechanical.

WHEN & WHERE: The multi-day hearing is scheduled April 13-14 in southeast Pennsylvania.

  • Wednesday, April 1414: Veritas Medical Solutions, 160 Cassell Rd, Harleysville, PA 19438; 1-3 pm.
